Centrosaurus is a genus of four-legged, plant-eating dinosaurs that existed in the late Cretaceous period, about 75 million years ago. The name means "pointed lizard" (from Greek "kentron" meaning point or prickle, and "sauros" meaning lizard) and refers to the series of bony projections that run along the edges of their frills.
